“I know the struggles NRIs face with property in India, because I’ve lived through it myself.”
The inspiration behind NRICI comes from our founder, Arjan Singh Parwana, who personally battled — and continues to battle — one of the most challenging property disputes faced by an NRI family in Punjab.
“In 2017, my family’s property in Jalandhar was nearly seized by a land mafia, aided by corrupt officials and false registries. What followed was a long legal battle — from urgent police complaints to the Punjab & Haryana High Court — that eventually exposed the truth and brought criminal charges against those involved.
That fight taught me one thing: NRIs need trusted support on the ground in India.
I founded NRICI so no NRI has to go through the same frustration, fear, or helplessness I experienced. With legal experts and property managers by your side, we’ll safeguard your property, your rights, and your peace of mind.”
~ Arjan Singh Parwana – Founder, NRICI
Arjan moved to the UK as a young child in 1958, growing up and building a successful career in business, software, and project management across multiple countries. Like many NRIs, India remained close to his heart through his family’s property — a large estate in Jalandhar, Punjab, developed over decades by him and his parents.
But in 2017, a shocking reality struck: a powerful land mafia, aided by corrupt officials and businessmen, attempted to seize his family’s property through fraud, false registries, and intimidation.
What followed was a relentless struggle involving:
Instead of surrendering, Arjan fought back. With determination and the help of senior legal counsel, he escalated the matter to the Punjab & Haryana High Court, resulting in the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) that exposed the corruption and filed criminal charges against those involved.
From Personal Battle to Public Mission
Through this journey, Arjan realised that his case was not unique — thousands of NRIs around the world face similar property disputes, but most feel powerless to act due to distance, complexity, and corruption.
NRICI was born out of that fight.
Our mission is to stand by NRIs who need someone trustworthy on the ground in India — someone who knows the system, understands the obstacles, and has personally fought against the odds.
